Cylinder heads
Back again with issues of over heating.
The car still isnt right.
Last time it was up at Rivett's, mike had a good look and said he went through everything, and that the Head gaskets were still ok.
He said he modified the thermostat too, so it allowed the car to cool better.
It still does throw out water alot, mainly when driving a little spirited.
Mike said, last time I was there, to look into maybe getting some cylinder heads and trying that.
I dont want to keep throwing money at it and still not fix her fully.
Will a set of ealry classic cylinder heads, say from a 1993 fit onto a 1998 engine.
Or are later ones better, or from an STi etc...
Options im looking into at the moment are;
Recon Engine,
replacement cylinder heads,
or rip the engine apart and get it all checked, skimmed, X-rayed etc...
What with the weather getting hotter, Id like to be able to drive without any worries.
Plus I wanted to take her abroad too.
thanks very much

Update on this.
Managed to get a set of Sti V3 heads, but after taking the rocker cover off the left hand side, it looks like the pulley has taken a hit and pushed the cam back and has broken the head, now making one head useless.
So, this throws a spanner in the works, as im back to square one.
