Default Speedo stopped working!

Just drove home from work & my speedo stopped working,& check engine light came on! Revs seem to drop very low, then sorts its self out! Ive done a manual fault check & its coming up as 24,which is idle control system malfunction or isc valve or open/short in isc valve circuit. Can any one tell me which it is most likely to be? cheers

Speedo stopping working will put the ecu into limp home mode so it could be that the cable has become disconnected (unusual but could happen).

this is the idle control

I knocked my speedo cable the other day.. which gave a CEL 24.. plugged uit back in, reset the ecu and it was away again.

You should be able to get at the speedo connector from under the drivers foot well.. if not its clocks out time!

same happened to me, speedo cable came out, then the check engine light came on, no boost, ran dog rough.. you need the speedo for the ECU, just plugged it back in and, it went ok.

good luck mate
