Hi, I'm a new Scooby owner, I've just got a 12,000 mile 06 WRX and decided to check the filter today to find it was filthy. So fitted a replacement but forgot to put the multi-pin plug into the sensor before I started it up. When the CEL didn't go off straight away I realised what was wrong and connected it up. However the light wont go off. The engine is running perfectly.
Any help would be appreciated from this newbie owner,Any ideas?

The ECU is pretty good for the 06 and will keep the CEL lit for 5 to 6 engine starts before it thinks all is well

Then it will go out LOL
