It's gotta be a front-mounted intercooler, as that 1.2bar of boost will need some cooling to make it worthwhile!

Change the turbo then remap it again. Should see well over 300/300.

Bigger turbo e.g. VF35, remap with the boost controller set to about 1.35 bar would see a safe 320ish

Upgraded TMICs not generally worth it, only exception for sensible money is the STi 8 one, which is very good, but by the time you've paid for the custom fabrication to make it fit, and associated undertray, bigger bonnet scoop etc.. you may as well get an FMIC like the hybrid! How much do you want to keep things looking stock?

I went to an FMIC on my MY99, wouldn't go back to a TMIC.

Not a BIG Turbo!! Just bigger than the TD04

The std intercooler will be just about adequate at around what a VF35 can produce, but will struggle on hot days and after being stationary for any length of time.

Have a look at what I did to my MY99 (no cutting necessary at this stage)

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...xperience.html

Car will feel good at this level, but it may pay to get an ACT gauge to keep an eye on those temps.

no didnt fit it my self sorry.

the guy who would do all my stuff did a gd job fits nicly were the ashtray used to be. jolly green what power did it have at the wheels. as when i got my car rr before the boost controller and induction kit. it showed

287bhp at the flywheel
192bhp at the wheels.

was pretty shocked at how much power was lost, im just hoping they put the wrong calculation fig in to get flywheel power.

plus my mate has a leon cupra r and i still cant break free from him on a rolling start.

Can't honestly remember, assuming you're starting from scratch, buying all the parts new and not doing any of the work yourself, I'd figure on around 2-2.5k. But you've got quite a few of the bits fitted already, so significantly cheaper for you!

VF35 is the best spooling turbo for circa 320-330bhp and can be had much cheaper than a VF34.

Have a word with David at APi for advice

have to agree, the punch when the turbo comes in is awesome, and also pulls right through to near red line (dont ever take it to red line when i drive it hard so might even pull to red line lol)
