Question simtek maps

Hi all getting a Simtek ecu fitted in 2 wks been reading about the two maps that you can have with this piece of kit but does anybody know how you switch between maps??? carnt seen to find the answer anywhere

Ignition turn 2, foot down, needle moves to rev 1k (map 1), foot off, foot on, needle moves rev 2k (map 2).

Would be explained by your mapper.

Well, you can do that, but you'd be better off using the switch system we recommended! all you have to do is flick the switch for two maps on the fly. Doddle!

Does the switch system put the bung in on the fly too

Switch sounds good but I mainly use map 1 and only map 2 on rare occasions. I can see it would be ideal for flicking on ALag

thanx for the replies Steve Simpson is doing the mapping for me so i
am sure he will advise me on the best for me.

We fit three switches for those using anti lag. One is for map switching, one for the anti lag, and another for launch control.
I'll give you a tip about Steve Simpson. He won't work without tea!

So whats the best 2 maps to run........ regular & super unleaded, regular & methanol, regular & ?????

High/low boost seems to be the most popular option.....
