hi my sti is just five years with only 5 thousand just had service at main dealer should have done cam belt but didnt had a word with service manager he said they are good condition at this age with low mileage but would still recommend new belt before next service just for peice of mind going to get mine done soon

I would agree, even with low millage the rubber is still exposed to heat, cold, oil and other road grime. This can all lead to the rubber breaking down and eventually letting go. I would err on the side of caution and do mine every 4yrs or 45k whichever comes first. It might be a pricey job, but, nowhere near as expensive as a engine rebuild.
me too - mine had done only 26 thou at 5 years, but ive had it changed - thought with it being 5 years old the rubber may have detriorated..... costly job tho' !!
