Give David @ API a ring or email him - he normally has them on the shelf.

Don't buy any recon or 'freshly imported' engines off ebay for under a grand. They're all crooks. There are plenty of reputable sellers on ebay, but they don't sell complete engines. The ones that do, you'll recognise the names as genuine Subaru specialists with ebay as an outlet, not their main business.

I'd be surprised if any seller would use those pics to show off a "rebuilt" engine.

I got a rebuilt one from SMR via eBay. Did what it said on the tin, evidence of fresh gaskets and main oil seals (all that they said had been done, had been).

I may have been lucky. But, I would recommend them (and I have).

Yes, APi are very good, he'll tell you what's involved and give no a no obligation, no BS quote!

Abandon all hope of getting this sorted cheap, unless you can do the work yourself. It IS going to cost, so get the job done right first time and pay once! Give David a ring
