Boost problems-Apexi Boost control valve pictures.
I've been having some problems with my car,it's not running the boost that it should be. It should be running 1.55 bar but usually only makes around 1.1-1.2 !
I suspect the actuator on my Andy Forrest 20g is weak and Andy is going to send me a replacement one.
Before I do that,i've noticed some pipes around my Apexi boost control valve are disconnected.
Can someone take a look at the pictures and tell me if they look ok or not.
The black pipe ontop of the Apexi valve isn't connected to anything

looks right, though i would take of the barb on what should be the NC port? you are connected the right way round to the Com / NO ports right? then also where is your map sensor for the apexi? and why is your filter inline with the stock map sensor?

your apexi map sensor should have a boost reference source attached to it, and then a signal cable which is part of the harness to the apexi unit.
Without this, you will not be reading the correct boost to the unit for it to make adjustments. It has to be there somewhere or its not gonna work full stop..
Your other points of interest to tune are on the duty settings, if the duty cycle is wrong you'll either under boost or over boost...
AVC-R's are a pain to setup and get spot on unless you know what your doing and have all the inputs right.
Best way I found was to set your boost requirement then adjust duty cycle...
It will take time.
Here is a good page for a readup on how to set it up..... NOTE this was on an RX7 do NOT FOLLOW THESE just the procedure to get there.

I'm just trying to rule out any problems with the boost controller as I noticed some pipes looked like they weren't connected.
It was mapped to boost at 1.55 bar which it does peak at in 4th for example then it drops to about 1.2 bar around 6k revs upwards.
In 2nd or 3rd gear it peaks at only around 1.2 bar !

only one port should be open and thats the NC port on the solenoid, all other hoses that are part of the avcr should be connected, NO and COM ports and then a hose to the MAP/pressure sensor those are the only hoses on the unit.
It sounds like you may have to tweak the gear based boost and duty cycles to fix your issue apexi when set right should hold boost to near redline.... not that you'll want it to
go though the settings and check the rpm duty cycles
