hello, i have a uk 2000 turbo ej20
ok i just got my first scooby and just a few problems.
when im driving esspesialy in 1st n 2nd if i put my foot down it jurks really bad,but in higher gears with my foot down it sometimes holds back a little.
also i can hear a very small missfire. can't understand it becaust if i feather the throttle it goes like hell and feels like it's boosting well
now ive been told by friends that first change my sparkplugs. and sometimes on scooby's there is a feed valve for the turbo thats goes faulty on full boost some type of soliniod or sensor i really don't have a clue
cloud someone please give me advice on the right sparkplugs and the boost problem i have ..
thanks peter.

Check the usual problems:
Faulty sparkplugs { NGK LASER PLATINUM SPARK PLUGS - PFR6B or PFR7B}
Faulty coil packs
Faulty maf
Faulty boost hoses
Clean out boost solenoid https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...-what-maf.html
Also you could be hitting the fuel cut. Do you have a boost gauge fitted ?

After your pm. Do you know when the sparkplugs, airfilter & fuel filter was last change if unsure, I recommend get these done just so the basics are out of the way.
Sparkplugs if car is standard use NGK LASER PLATINUM SPARK PLUGS - PFR6B or its running high boosts use NGK LASER PLATINUM SPARK PLUGS - PFR7B. Changing the sparkplugs is a pain in the a$$ for the first time, but the average joe blogs can do them.
Air filter & fuel filter changing them is straight forward.
What petrol are you using ? from personal experience my car ran terrible on BP Ultimate 97 ron , so I use Esso Super 97 ron as thats all I can get where I live.
