Default Sealing heat wrapped exhaust parts

Wrapped my decat downpipe in some heat wrap and use the stainless steel cable ties.
Just wondered if I need to seal the wrap with a high temp spray or anything?

Is it not normally done then?
The heat wrap I used was LMA, or Le Mans, so probably fiarly low scale quality wise. It just seems a bit dry-ish. Thought spraying it might be more secure, but won't do it if it takes away the effectiveness.

If you wet it while you fitted it, and left it to dry, it will of shrunk and be fine.
