Default APS Front Mount

Hi guys, just wandering if anyone has any pics of a classic scooby with an APS front mount? Are they worth the money? And what are they like to fit compared to the Hybrid GT Spec?? There are some many different intercoolers available, just seeing what you guys have been fitting to yours and what experiences you've had. Cheers for your help. Daz

I haven't got a pic, but have an APS FMIC fitted to my 95 classic.

This intercooler is huge and the quality is excellent. However, I got mine second hand (tuner took it off his personal STi before selling) and if I was buying it new, not sure the price tag of over a grand would have been acceptable.

Many people on these forums report sourcing decent quality kits for a fraction of the price.

Hi fella,

I'd recommend speaking to Harvey about the Hybrid kits he has on group buy.

He has some pics of the APS kit on an STI v6 wagon.

I know that he had done a group buy with the APS kits before. He did mention to me that during mapping, Bob Rawle has commented on a couple of occasions that the performance of the APS in relation to the Hybrid is both surprising and disappointing esp considering the cost of the two kits.

Always worth speaking to the people in the know!

Good luck
Ross

The Hybrid range of intercoolers is of very good quality and is used by many high powered applications here in SN.

As above. I have an APS FMIC on my STi 6 Wagon. It does not perform as well as the Hybrid I have on my 95 WRX Wagon and I am considering changing the STi to Hybrid GT Spec. During recent mapping the APS was reaching 40C on a relatively cold day whereas the Hybrid in similar circumstances is only in the low 20s all be it with less power.

And, Yes I have supplied Zen with Hybrid GT Kits for their time attack car.
