Default Sounds like a horn in low gears.

When pulling away and coming on to boost in 1st or second i hear the sound of a horn coming from under the bonet. What could this be? Car is a x reg classic.

Or is it the IC spray coming on?
Is your IC spray button pressed onto AUTO? If so, its activated when on boost, and sprays for about 5 seconds

Not got an ic spray. So it could be the original dump valve?

My car still has the horn in the low gears when coming on to boost then changing gear. Could this be the actuator on my turbo?

it states in the haynes subaru impreza owning and maintaining manual that it is caused by over filling with oil which clogs the wastgate soltenoid but i think its plainley down to fitting vta dump valves as when i put my standard one back on it doesnt happen my opinion anyway

at first i thought my car was fooked .

My car has no aftermarket dump valve but I too am getting this intermittent 'mooing'. Took it into the dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong, I'm a bit worried....
