how hard was it to fit jonny could u give me a little guide, how much did u pay for it and was that a bug eye scoop.
Also can u give me the spec of type R to reach 400bhp.
sorry for all the question i just want to keep the top mount to keep the lag down.
Cheers Nicky

Hi Nicky, keeping lag to a minimum was my priority when putting my spec together with this car, i bult 400+ scoob before this and had learned quit a bit about what works and what doesn't.
will PM you my spec
i made the under tray for the bonnet out of a sheet of carbon fibre but i am sure there is someone on here selling them now, the intercooler was from a version 8 sti (blobeye) i had to take it to my local fabricators to have the dump valve outlet from my v4 intercooler ally welded to the sti 8 one as the sti 8 has a bolt on dump valve.
after this i had to make mounting brackets to fit the larger intercooler.
apart from that its a straight fit
good little project to do to be honest if you enjoy that sort of thing.
i am sure "911" did the same sort of mod with pics a while ago, it may be worth doing a search
i paid around £150 for the sti 8 intercooler if i remember rightly!
hope this helps

that was a nitrous spray bar on the top of the intercooler.
in my opinion you will always get more lag with a front mount due to the amount of air needed to fill the 11 feet of pipe work, if you are going for a front mount get the hybrid over the A88, much better fit and quality at not a lot more.
i find its the gear change where they suffer most rather than spool time in gear.
