Default code 31

Hya,

I have a 1994 wrx and the engine check light comes on and goes off when it feels like. I have done a ecu check and the number that came up was 31 does anybody know what this code is?

Thanks Mark

Would this cause the car to idle high, and be hesitant some time?

Thanks Mark

Thanks again Mark

Passenger side? It's on the opposite side to the throttle cable linkage,ie the drivers side. It;s the size of a matchbox, has a connector facing forward on it.

It,s quite likley that it could cause the problems your having,as if it's faulty, the ecu won't know where your throttle is. Does your engine drop low after reving it at idle, out of gear? This again is a result of a possible tps fail.
Also, it may be out of adjustment,as i think the sensor mounting holes are slotted? But don't quote me on that!
