Problem you have on a phase one is the ammount of room under the inlet manifold to allow an inlet pipe to pass under,vf series being front entry would need this option, can be spaced upwards but i think its a tight fit... 90 degree td05 would be less of a hassle to upgrade to

Your car should be running a TD05 turbo, the TD04's didnt go on uk cars until the MY97 model came out.

Walbro is a good pump, would need setting up to get the best out of the mods, especially going for the bigger injectors as the standard fuel map will be no good on the 440's

yes as soon as ive got everything together its going for a new ecu and a map.it pulls strong now maintaining .9 bar.the std phase 1 ecu i think is limited to 1 bar and fuel cut off at 1.1 bar.only what ive read on the subject.

If its an early TD05 then it will have a 90 degree metal inlet pipe joined to the front of the turbo

All uk wagons were fitted with TD04 for better spool up, saloons had TD05.

If its a front entry, just fit a 90deg silicone hose, thats what most do. No need to do owt more.

I'd recomend a VF35 off an MY02> STi unless you go for one of Andy Forrests TD04H which will see 320hp with lightening spool to boot, bargain at £400 exchange.

Slowboy racing don't buy turbos from me so it seems more than a bit odd that they are advertising quote "Af tdo4 Hybrid" and "AF TDo5 18g"

Andy you must sell so many We originally got turbo's from you direct, and also sent customers direct, We have cars built and running your turbos among others and we like them hence we promote them. The site content however is old and does needs up dating which currently being worked is done.

Ash your turbo was second a "second hand" low mileage unit as stated, so i would expect that to be cheaper. We don’t have stock of Andy's turbos, if we did they would be priced the same unless it was factored into a larger conversion.

No problem I know you have had some but there were no 04 hybrids recently hence the confusion.

I like to keep an eye on who claims to sell my turbos, I found one vendor recently selling Taiwan copys as my 20G's. I only found this out when the owner sent it back directly to me as it 'wasn't going very well' !

I think it was the early JDM wagons that had the TD04 90 degree turbo.

Mine was a UK turbo right enough, could have just been the JDMs with the smaller turbo.
