Default When to remap?

Hi,

I have a MY05 wrx with H&S Back box, mid and 2nd decat and a pipercross viper fitted. I have just got an STi V8 TMIC and prodrive sports cat downpipe, can i fit these without a remap?
In the a year I hope to get ceramic coated headers and uppipe, STi pink injectors with necessary fuelling upgrades (pump and regulator), boost controller and VF34 and was then going to remap.
I dont really want to have to remap twice in a year so was hoping i could SAFELY get away with not remaping just yet.

cheers
J.T

I'd say you are best to remap the car, certainly in view of the viper kit.
I'd still say that even if you get it mapped somewhere other than us!

right ok, what sort of costs am I looking at for the initial remap and then a furthur mapping session down the line when the other planned mods come into play? When I do get and fit the other mods (which I'll do in one go) will I be safe to run it for a week or so (off boost!) till i get the next map done?
Does the viper kit make that much of a difference to warrant a remap?

Thanks

Dump the viper then fit all the kit at once and re-map once to save money in the long run. Ecutek is around £600 + VAT, but additional work after that should be around £75 per hour at a guess...

Headers are a "big" job in terms of mapping, a Viper should be a small one....

You chose !

Cool, the idea is to try and fit all at once, that way i'll notice the difference massivly. I was just wondering on what i could get away with safely, as i don't want things going pop. Think i'll just wrap the exhaust for now and wait patiently til the rest arrives

Viper will affect the MAF sensor readings to the ecu, COULD cause serious weak mixture situation, COULD lead to melting pistons, etc.
Or you could be lucky....

I fitted a catted exhaust and ran for two years without a re-map, stupid as I was just 55bhp down on where it should have been...

LOL
