Check Engine Light (CEL) on in Dash. Was it bcoz of change in Backbox?
Blobeye WRX 54 plate.
It's was ECUtekked remapped when I first bought it 7 months ago.
A couple of weeks ago I bought a Prodrive BackBox and switched it over from standard. Now I did this with a view that a change in BB would make sod all performance impact so in theory should not have to remap again.
Anyway today my CEL light has come on whilst in slow moving traffic and has remained on. As the book says if the light comes on steadily after engine starts and whilst driving it could relate to an emissions control system malfunction.
1) Could the change in Backbox be a reason for this (I suspect not)?
2) Should I continue driving for a while before my next service, hoping this won't damage the car?
3) Should I get it checked out immediately from a Dealer/Mocom/Xtreme in Essex?
4) It had Tescos 99 RON, should I just full tank with Optimax and blast it on the MWay hoping things will clear up?
5) And what sort of things does this relate to it; Exhaust Gas valves, sensors, misfire?
With thanks to the experts out there who can offer some insight.

Thanks Granby.
I was out and decided to do option 4) full tanked V-Power and CEL light went off, could also be a combination of Tesco 99 RON and driving in congested traffic for a couple of hours (mine was mapped with V-Power). I'll keep an eye on it if it lights up again.
p.s I like your Wagon, I got a Wagon too. Did you had to do much farting about to get the Mudflaps on, normally these are for saloons?
