Default Cleaning My Engine Bay

After my radiator coolant hose split, I now have an even dirtier engine bay than before. Coolant that has evaporated has left a nice stain here and there. What’s the best way to clean the engine bay?

I’ve been told not to jet wash it because it can cause problems starting it?

Do I get a bottle of degreaser and the power hose out?

Or should I take it somewhere and get the engine steam cleaned?
