you will get a cooler charge from the intercooler and the capability to run far higher boost than a top mount, mods allowing, but you will get an increase in lag, as the pipe work is considerably longer than standard.
Plus you get a big shiny intercooler in your bumper too.

Have a proper think about what you want from all the mods and then plan accordingly. Basically, take your time! I have wasted loads being eager or having to have allignment done more than twice as i changed things instead of doing it all in one go, etc, etc.
It all depends what 'figures' you want from your car and what you ultimately spend your time using it for.
I dont track my car, never have in 5 years of ownership (not saying never like), and i dont spend hours on full bore runs or high revs.
An STi top mount, undertray, bonnet scoop will be more than good enough (with all the other mods) to support 350 bhp or maybe more.

Unless you are planning on getting a bigger turbo, FMIC will not be worth it.

Keep the top mount and save up for a bigger turbo first

A club member recently fitted a "big name" TMIC on an STI and the thing "detted", so std STI went back on sharpish !

Up to 350 bhp + use an STI cooler, or the lag like mine will be gruesome, chasing big power then go FMIC !
