Default ECU Prodrive help

Will this UK SUBARU IMPREZA 2 LITRE TURBO PRODRIVE ECU fit my UK car ? its off a 99 UK V-REG IMPREZA WAGON WITH THE 'PRODRIVE PACK. My car is the same 1999 but its only a WRX with a boot, that’s got a full 3” de cat system etc..
Will it work ? will I need to do any mods to make it work? E.g. Re mapping / New Keys / any other work ? and will I get any more BHP ? ... is it worth it .... Thanks Ed

If your car is a 1999 version 5 you can have the original ECU remapped using Ecutek software. The result should be superior to the PPP.

There is not key recoding, but as Alan says you will gain more from just EcuTek remapping your current ecu.

If it's a WRX and not a UK car you will probably have to swap the cam and crank sensor 'signal' wires over to get the UK PPP ECU to work in the Jap WRX.

Not sure how well it would work though with WRX spec's being different to UK

The CR is different on a WRX as is the turbo, so the ECU would need remapping to suite - rather pointless really!

Default Thanks for the help !!

Thanks .. for the help!! It looks like I have the version 5 ECU I have a EJ205 with ECU part No: 22611AE802 .. so if I can get it re-mapped I will do so.
and not bother with the Prodrive unit..
