Default Fitted a scooby pro chip

Hi all

Just got a chip fitted to my z4 ecu spare socket for my 1996 wrx import saloon. Fitted snuggly reset the ecu and went for a drive felt very good no problems (actually felt better than before no hesitation / flat spots or rough idle) untill i went on boost and it aint hitting the 16 psi it is supposed to only hitting factory standard 12.5 psi????

What the heck i have e mailed the seller for some answers ( i hope he aint sent me the wagon version instead of the saloon by mistake)

Did you cut the j1 resistor? are all the solder joints making contact correctly, mine is working a treat.

I don't have a decatt pipe just a factory one and it yes the chip is connected ok no cel issues car runs sweet as before just not hitting boost target the seller said she sent the right map for my car
It feels just like it did when on standard base map boosting the same and hitting 0.8 bar as for the j1 resistor i completely removed mine as i didn't fancy cutting it but i guess it makes no difference as you are severing the connection anyway

Steve,

Have repiled to your email. I doubt it's a solder issue as it wouldn't run at all due to the chip containing the car's running code/software and being paramount to the ECU.

Editted to say : This isn't one of my chips, so cannot comment on it's contents.

Went for another drive today and gave it some beans on the motorway and it did hit a shade over 1 bar on the gauge but the gauge might not be accurate and i did have to really floor the throttle to get it to go to 1 bar.

Sounds like it's working fine and your cat is holding it back.
