Default low boost since changing turbo and down pipe

hi hoping someone can help me.
ive got a 1994 wrx i had it chipped a few months ago it is mapped for 16psi stright through exhaust, front mount and ihi vf34 i had intercooler on but not the exhaust or turbo it went well and boosted at 16psi ive changed turbo and exhaust yesterday and its only getting 11psi i have wound actuator in but made no difference. i put mole grips on actuator hose and boosted up to 20psi before fuel cut so turbo can make preasure no bother does anyone have any ideas? the engine management light is not on. and i dont want to just put a bleed valve on.

Try getting it re-mapped!!! Dont be doing any more boost of 20psi in the mean time.

(I cannot believe people think they can throw a different turbo at the car and run it on the same map and it will magically work out the fueling, duty, air flow....etc)

Yea have to agree. You cant just shove a bigger turbo on and expect it all to be ok. The map/chip will need altering to suit.

VF34 probably needs to be told to work a little harder then a standard TD05 (which is what should of been on there), so the boost duty control will need increasing.

why change a TD05 to a VF34 ? as would of also required a 90 degree conversion or lifters to fit a VF34.
