Bit of a weird one for you guys to scratch your heads about.

I've just put a 1996 uk phase 1.5 engine into a 1994 WRX. I've swapped the manafold to a phase1. Now the fun begins. It runs like a dream... boosts perfect until she's been on a run (Half hour or so) She'll boost but the timings being pulled back and she pops and bangs like a bitch (Big *** fire ***** out the back)!!! I've changed the plugs and coil packs god knows how many times. New maf, and new boost hoses. Actuators pretty new aswel. I was running an avc-r but i've disconected that and it's still doing it. When she's doing this funny stuff i can drive the car perfectly off boost.

This makes no bloody Sence to me at all

tdo5 turbo. All pipes are spot on. Checked them over and over again. Surely if it was a leak it would do it all the time???

Cheers
