Question walbro fuel pump fitting to classic

as above for a my98
just gathering some info before i replace

can anyone tell me about the wiring connector,is the oe a direct plugin or would i have to use the one that came with the pump,if i have to use the one that came with pump can i just cut & join with connectors or would i have to solder?

hope this makes sense

Hi mate just fitted one the other week to my 1995 sti ra really straight forward come out easy from in the boot getting the three pipes off the top was a touch tricky once off and out pump goes on as you see it and all there was in the pump kit is a new conector that goes straight on the new pump then cut two wires and but conect into the pump loom then fit back and good too go hope it helps

how did you splice the wires? joiners or solder

iv got a 98 model m8 and my fuel pump was under the back seats! it was easy 2 do mine just unpluged and the other pluged in the same! walbro's alot smaller tho

Mine fitted with the original wiring plug,no cutting or splicing needed.

I think it is 98 on that the plug is the same.. cannot be sure.. just some I change just plug in and other need to be cut and connected etc.. never taken note of which etc.. other than phase 1 needs cutting and phase 2 doesn't
Newage is plug in as well.
