ecutek custom remap

gains in throttle response, drivability, mpg and power and torque.

custom for your car rather than a generic one fits all

Iv heard of the EcuTek but to be honest it is too much money for me at the moment. ive priced a superchip at my local dealer at £400. Is the GEMs remap at £300 a better option. any ideas on the power increases from the GEMs remap?

GEMs General Engine Management Systems Ltd
you have to have the GEMS ecu already, I don;t supply them just map them, therefore not an option.

EcuTek is more than Superchips but they are not in the same league.. you could say I am biased but ask about on here.. the gains from an EcuTek would far out weigh the gains from a superchip.

the superchip iirc just ups the boost cut and then increases the boost..

with a remap the whole ignition and fuelling tables and boost tables amongst other settings are custom updated to suit your car, every car is slightly different due to tolerances and the gains over the generic standard map, safely, using a wideband to monitor fuelling, det cans to monitor engine noise and experiance of subaru engines.
Not just up the boost and fuel cut and hope, without checking the fuelling, ignition advance, det etc..

compare the technical information between the two..

Superchips - Rediscover the joy of the open road - notice not one mention of how

www.ecutek.com - notice lots of technical info of what can be altered by the mapper.

this all sounds pretty sweet to me...but will this kind of re-mapping work on a non turbo engine? Ive got an 05 RS with the 2.5 - not sure how different the models are over here in canada. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

No disrespect but if you don't expect a gain from a remap because your car is std what do you expect the superchip to do? are you just getting suckered in by the marketing blurb (don't worry its easily done, them companies are mean and dis-honest) I have never had a super chip but I have never heard anyone describe them as anything like 'super'

not a car come across over here, I expect it can be.. contact the nearest dealer to you from www.ecutek.com as they are world wide and there should be a dealer, if no dealer then contact ecutek direct.

what year?

Assuming it is a TD04 model then the turbo will only allow 280bhp give or take a bit.

the power is not just the main gain though, the increase in torque, throttle response, mpg and driveability all make for a far more useable car.
