hi, i have a 1995 import wrx. gr8 car till now. ill start from beginning. has been hesitating at about 80 for a few months now, never thought owt of it. last couple of weeks since cold has been running lumpy when driving normal for first 5 minutes but when driven for 5 or ten minutes ok.
then today took it out down town and run like a bag of nails. seeming like its running on three gonna cut out hesitating sounding rough. me thinking its maybe sumthing like lamba sensor and be ok drove down town few hours later and same if not worse. got to the point where i couldnt drive any more cut out and pulled over. tried to start few times got it to run for couple of seconds then died. towed it home now, m8 is a mechanic but never worked on scooby. any ideas.

 

do a check for error codes

but from your description.. best guess would be coilpack gone down.. if so replace all four.

pull plugs and inspect..

would coil packs show a code up on reader? are they easy to change

 

no they wouldn't show a code, yes easy to change

 

a m8 reckons that if a coil pack went down would still run though or start
