Default Suggestions for possible causes for my boost problem please???

I have done searches, 3 of us have tried a few things to sort my car today, to no avail.
I was wondering if people could post here things that could cause my my94 wrx to only boost to 0.5-0.6 bar max, when it has been set up and boosting to 1.2 bar correctly for the past year?. Its going to be a process of elimination now for me, tried 3 different boost solenoids, it is not in limp mode, checked all intercooler hoses and connections.

It started saturday morning, although twice since then i have managed to reach 1.2bar just after the warm up cycle.

Help appreciated please, turbo seems to be working fine. Any help on things i can do to pin point it, or narrow the problem down would be great,
thanks

The original restrictor is still in the pipe leading off the bottom of the boost solenoid, and the actuator spring seems to 'feel' fine when i push/pull it by hand, is there any other way to check the actuator? surely if there was a problem with the diaphragm inside, i would overboost?
thanks for the replies guys

Also getting fault code 43. Throttle switch, could this be causing it? I have a apexi safc convertor, and that tells me my throttle pedal is working fine, which of course is wired to the throttle switch.

check the AFR as I have seen cars drop to 1/2 boost due to a failing/dirty/lean reading MAF. No error codes gets logged either is just drops in an out.......

IIRC one guy sorted his by giving the MAF a quick clean with carb cleaner. He was running an HKS mushroom....this wouldn't of been the 1st HKS i have seen allowing dirt to contaminate the MAF.
