flat spot

Default flat spot

seem to be getting a flat spot between 5000-6000 revs on a my2001 wrx bugeye . only just started doing it the last couple of days anybody got any ideas

Is it a flat spot, or does it feel like someone has turned the ignition off an on really quickly? If the latter it sounds like your hitting the overboost fuel cut.
