What model year?

Maf sensor failure very common on 99/00. Potential engine killer. Get it to a specialist for diagnosis. Takes 5 mins, if it is the Maf £80-90 and jobs a good un.

Drive off boost till it's sorted as a precaution.

i would say maf, and one way to test this is to start the car and then unplug the the maf and see if it stalls the engine.

hello mate, i got same prob as you. i changed the maf on mine, which i got from greada subaru. it still does the same problem. i have cleaned most of the sensors with carb cleaner just in case. still no luck. so im going on the root of replacing the idle control valve or going back to recirclating dump valve. that maybe your option aswell. if u got your stock dump valve i would try changing that or maybe cleaning the idle control valve.

hope that helps
