First of all, I hope I dont sound ignorant but Im not a Scooby enthusiast like a lot of you guys. This question will probably sound daft.

I bought a cat d salvage Impreza recently (2005 model) with some bad damage to the driverside quarter panel. The panel needs replacing but I cant see any welding marks between the quarter panel and the roof panel where I could cut the original panel off. I have shown to a mate who knows his stuff and he reckons that the quarterpanel and roof might be one part, which makes replacing it a lot tougher.

Can anyone let me know if this is true? I would appreciate any comments.
