has it been mapped on the new turbo?

boost creep is usually at higher rpm where the wastegate cannot flow enough exhaust gas away from the turbine and so the boost increases..

you are describing unstable boost.. which would point to the wastegate duty / boost needing setting up for turbo.. etc

I'll ask again - was the 1.25 bar map for a different turbo model?
Have you now fitted a VF34 without a new remap and are getting the boost spikes?

so either the colder weather means a tweak is needed to the boost duty or something on the car has altered.. pipe off for example..

sounds like possibly a vaccum pipe leak.. whcih might explain the boost problem too..

With the other Simon, the idle problem sounds like a pipe off cauing and air leak and lean at idel, the same airleak will/could cause rich running as well as the boost (lack of) control.
