Default 4x4 working properly ?

yesterday was a damo day on the roads, lurvly stuff.

came to a t junction, put it on full right lock and gave it some beans, great stuff, started to straighten up and it felt like i was in a rear wheel drive car, the back end, as i was straightenin up, went sideways, fishtailed like, i just took foot off the gas, straigtened up and off i went.

but being 4x4 i shouldnt of got this should i ?

i had it all under control,no probs, but just thought, hmmm

any thoughts. ??

cheers

scoobs 4wd isn't split 50:50.
There is always more power sent to the rear, so if you did indeed 'give it sum beans', then it will oversteer.

Yeah, 60:40 so they'll do that.
When I bought mine it had very bad Japanese winter tyres on which were lighting up in third gear. Because of this I wondered whether the AWD was working properly, but a quick launch on grass proved that it was fine....

And.,.... not only is it 60/40, but as the centre diff, is Viscous, it takes a while to do it's job.......

WTF...

Anything other than STi IS 50/50, its not an epicyclic and can't be anything but 50/50

Welcome to planet earth by the way!
