Anyone fitted a weld in cage in a classic? thinking of buying one but not sure if you need to cut the dash and how you would get full welds around the roof sections.
I know some people remove the roof but thats not really an option!!
I multi pointed the cage in my rally car by welding it to the posts etc and adding cross bars to the rear and doors etc so carrying out the work/welding is not an issue just wanted peoples experiences.

I am also interested doing this early next year...have been looking at the omp bolt in cage with door bars that goes through the dash, don,t want a dash dogding type cage....but keep wandering if i might aswell go for a full multi-point weld in job.....Let us know if you wanna do another cage fitment after yours....
To get the welds around the roof sections, you cut holes in the floor and drop the hoop ends down into them
Paul at Zen fitted the Custom Cages cage to his Time Attack car himself by this method.
Roelands have a good reputation for doing this work for people, and certainly have a lot experience with Imprezas
