Exhausts?
Hi Guys
After attending the 2007 Tunnel run in London I am now on the lookout for a new exhaust because mine doesn't come close!!.... Cheers!.....
Easy task I hear you say.....
I have a wagon... so are the exhausts different in size length etc...?...Will a saloon backbox fit the wagon without any welding of brackets etc?
Any help would be great cause I am wanting a new sound asap!!!

The Nur Spec comes with a bung, if bought new.
At 4am it's still gonna be bloody loud WITH the bung in.
What exhaust do you have?

No name on the current exhaust backbox that I can see...The center is straight through no cat....The chrome tailpipe is about 2.5in and straight into the box....was on the car when I got her...looks a bit like a Prodrive unit but dont think it is....although the suspension is Prodrive so it could be?....Sounds nice...usual rumble etc....but just not good enough
I am highly tempted to fit a complete decat unit but way too scared to damage the engine because the car would need a remap/new ecu and that would cost way too much!

You'll be alright not remapping for a full decat.

So the car will run ok without a remap if I de-cat the whole system?
What about the check lights etc....will they be flashing all the time....can I turn them off?

You shouldn't get any check lights flashing on a Classic, IIRC it's only on the newage cars which there can be a problem. Cat on fire sensor or something.
The Nur Spec has been on mine nearly a year now, before that had a Magnex system mated to the Revolution down pipe, had to change it as it wasn't loud enough
In all that time I've only seen the check engine light once, when I forgot to reconnect a breather pipe on the induction side.
