Who runs a 2.35ltr and MD321T combo?
Hi Guys,
Who of you are running a 2.35ltr engine (EJ22T base) and MD321T turbo combination.
Really interested to know the following:
How well do you find the MD321T spools on the 2.35? (figures would be good if you know them)
Newage or classic?
What fuel is the car mapped for?
What boost are you running?
What other supporting mods have you got?
How does the car feel to drive on the road?

My Type R was running the MD321t and 2.35 combo...
only running 22psi and it was mega quick... no lag...
Hopefully once Rossi P ( THE NEW OWNER )gets the gearbox uprated he'll want the boost uping to the 30psi mark... lol
Mapped for V-power...
Check my rebuild thread in the projects section for the spec...

Thanks for the responses so far.
Scoobyslammed, watched your project thread with interest when you were doing the car. Can't wait to see what it can do once the gearbox is uprated and the boost up'd.
Come on, there must be more of you out there who have this combination.

It costs ££££ to do this sort of build right... IMHO if I was to build another Impreza engine... I'd go for the same combo again...
Everything really worked well... the car performs faultlessly... The acceleration from the Type R was just damm crazy!!!
PM Rossi P for his thoughs on the car and spec...
I'm sure he'll say the same...
One thing I will mention, with that sort of bhp... you really have to be sensible with it on public roads...
You could quite easily get into bother...

Yeah I've checked out the costs and it's going to be ££££. It's going to take a while to get all the cash together and do, but if I am going to do this I really want to do it right.
That sort power on the lighter classic must be completely mental I am hoping it will be a little easier to control in the stiffer newage body. Plan to do the suspension and brakes too which should help.
Hope Rossi P can get some video up of the Type R in action!
