Mate, be prepared for a thousand and four different answers on this thread. Everyone's got there own opinon on this one
Some say go with what Subaru dealers put in as standard, "The engine was built with that oil in mind" they'll say.
"Depends on what mods and what model car you've got" others will add.
I say get the best quailty full synthetic you can afford, what year and model doesn't really matter. Unless you've got a race monster engine of course.
My cars got a good few miles on it so I go for something slightly thicker than most.
If you don't know what oil is in the car, I'd recommend getting an oil change, I'm not a fan of mxing oil, as an RST of mine blew up shortly after I mixed oil and I've always blamed it on that, wrongly or rightly.

Mines at 80k miles and still pulls stong with 330bhp. Never been rebuild or the engine fiddled withjust bolt ons and a power fc.
Regular servicing should see you pass the 100k no problem. With that many miles I still say full synthetic with 40/15 40/10 weight. That will sort any noise issues you may incounter I recon.
