check engine light

Default check engine light

came on friday night as i was at a junction, the revs went to 2000 then just stayed there then light came on. set of slowly revs dropped back down and worked as normal, light stayed on but went off after about 3 mile.

anything to worry about or just a 1 off

Have a look on here JollyGreenMonster.co.uk for a 'How to' guide on checking error codes.
If it was my car i would get it checked out asap.

tbh i had a CEL come on after a repalcement gearbox was fitted and couldn't find the bloody connectors, but plenty of people have and it is a simple as it says (i had to do it for a mate and his connectors weren't wrapped in tape)

cant even see the ecu?

do i need to take glove box out?

ecu is under a kickplate passenger footwell.
The connectors are some where under the dashboard look on Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Scoobypedia / Scoobypedia for a picture of what they look like (but they may be taped up

im not looking for ecu!!

meant to be looking for the cables on drivers side, i will be looking again after work

i got comp mixed up so went on jollygreen site again and printed instructions off

my misses had the same problem check the lamber sensor and the knock sensor mate

they are probably taped back into the loom with light blue tape.. they are right next to the green ones.. the lower part of the dash comes off with two screws which might aid looking.
