long story short my engine is shafted, decided to go down the 2.5 route but the mechanic building it only supplies uk spec 2.5 blocks,i can get a us block slightly cheaper is there any difference between the 2?

I believe there is more than one version of the block, so compare the pt.no's.

Also, does it cost "slightly" less after shipping, duty, & VAT ? And if something goes wrong, do you want the hassle of trying to sort it with another country ?

I carry the EJ257 2.5lt STi short engine, and the pt.no ends "440", if that helps.
