Fuel Pump / Injectors - Final Mods?
I am booked in with Andy F in December for the usual () and are currently in the process of sourcing and fitting parts to my MY05 WRX, hoping for at least 300/300 but also understand the "Pub Speak" element to this and want quick spool up with a wide torque band (Why I chose the turbo) with reliability.
I am pretty sure the limiting factor from the mods I will have done by then will be the fuel pump / Injectors and am trying to decide whether or not to do something about it before mapping time. So as Andy is a busy man and can do without me bending his ear for hours I thought I would ask you folks first.
Here is a list of what I have planned prior to visit...
Green High Performance Panel Filter - Fitted
STi v8 Intercooler, Intake & Undertray - Fitted
Blitz® NüR Spec R 3" Cat-back Exhaust - FITTED
Prodrive Sports Cat (Off a WR1) - To Fit
WR1 Up Pipe - To Fit
AFP4H Turbo (TD04 Hybrid) - To Fit (Good for 320 right?)
EGT Sensor Resistor Mod - To Fit
So, looking at that list should a fuel pump and / or injectors be considered for optimum use of the mods and reliability bearing in mind I don't have a bottomless pit of money ()?
Thanks for any advice offered...Dan

Thanks Johnny...
I have found the fuel pumps brand new for £61.14 inc "Impreza fitting kit", does that sound about right?
What should I expect to pay for injectors (2nd hand)?

i payed about £70 for a walbro pump so that sounds about right.
second hand price of injectors all depends on what make you go for when i was looking the sti pinks were around the £200-£250 mark i managed to get some sard 650's for about £170 iirc
bear in mind if you uprate the injectors you will need to fit em when at andy's place as it will run like a bag of **** if at all due to overfuelling,he will then put a base map on to get it running and then do the fine tuning.

Yeah, I did wonder about that. I assume the pump would be ok to fit prior to mapping though, I don't really want to lug my tool box all the way up there!
The Injectors might well be a bit to steep for me at the moment...

i would advise holding off with the mapping until you can get injectors sorted out, otherwise you will end up having to travel to andy's again and pay some more money for a map tweak.
better off getting all the mods you want fitted at once and then pay for 1 mapping session in my opinion that is how i did it.
