Cool BOOOOOOOOST? more power? discuss

What sort of boost are people running on standardish engines?
what reliable boost can the wrx engine take?

are electronic boost controllers worth the ££££? been looking at apexi avcr but not too sure, mods on my car, filter, full ninja exhaust, d.v.........

what sort of mods are worth spending on, ie remap, turbos , boost controllers etc etc

PLEASE DISCUSS

not much point going beyond 1.2~1.3bar on the standard turbo.. would need mapping to suit.. not just saying that.. no need for boost controller the standard ecu is more than capable.. therefore price of boost controller off the remap.. or fit a boost controller and you can go upto the standard fuel cut point at your own risk.. cannot remember that off the top of my head... I would do backbox and centre exhaust change as first port of call.. then uppipe and downpipe, panel filter (k&n, green cotton) and then remap.. not advisable to do downpipe and uppipe without remap but the other should be okay, but would benefit more by remap to suit.

hope that makes sense.. shattered tonight.
