MD321H turbo, larger injectors, colder plugs, 3port boost solenoid.. remap

should have very good power/torque from low rpm up..

My setup is actually more responsive than when at standard. There is no noticeable delay, which is why i opted for the 18g size turbo.

I think at the 330bhp-level it was easier to drive. At close to the 400-level it requires more concentration (obviously).

Can be a bit of a handful, seem to drive slower, or push less, because when you do, everything goes warp speed.

Back wants to overtake the front in a straight line it feels.

But the smiles What fun!!!!

But yours is a lightweight classic, which is going to be quite a bit beyond a heavier newage with the same power

Your current power to weight isn't far off that of a 400 bhp newage.

Same as Power Junkie although mine is newage!

Car is away getting MD321 Turbo, 650cc Injectors, ful de-cat, old style STI headers and up pipe, APS 70mm ind kit, full samco hose kits and Apexi AVCR. Think thats it all. Then Andy F will re-map on the 1st Nov!

Will let you know how it feels a week tomorrow!

Mine is a Twin Scroll, so my experience will be differeent to your STI7.

But what I will say, is that you will get used to it

But, you will start to wonder if that 'other' Japanese Performance car you just pulled away from [whatever make/model] was actually trying very hard to catch you.

Hi Hol,

Just a quick question mate I noticed you are running a twin scroll does this mean you have a JDM motor and is it still a 2 litre and if so what spec have you got to achieve your profile outputs ?

Sorry for so many questions

If a car is running rich, it's not due to it running a cat', or 400bhp !

I can claim none of the credit

I would also suggest you look at Webmaster Shauns own articles, as he also got good results with a Turbo upgrade (Mine still being on the standard unit - something I am thinking of).

Shaun has now gone cossie 2.5 .

I have a UK Newage (STI8) with MD321H, tubular headers, 650 injeectors and all the usual supporting mods. It makes a tad over 400bhp and around 360lb/ft of torque.

It's great fun to drive - the power builds very progressively but unlike the standard car, just keeps on building right the way to the limiter. There's plenty of low-down torque and throttle response is crisp.

On the road it's ballistic - huge fun and very quick through the gears. However with the pedal pressed to the metal it requires a degree of respect in damp or wet conditions. Spinning up all 4 wheels is quite achieveable in 3rd. Having said that, it's not tiring to drive and doesn't require 'eyeballs out' concentration.

400bhp in a Newage is probably about right. However, as I'm sure others on here will understand, you still kind of end up wanting more...

<-----View my scooby. Just a modified ninja sports cat, the main cell area double heatwrapped and flows wonderfully .

Also, just for reference purposes and to add to the search engine, I posted up about my sports cat: https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...-heatwrap.html
