You can check fault codes. Under the dash near the steering column there are two black connectors. Connect these and then turn on the ignition,do not start engine, the CEL will then flash a series of pulses, count these, long flash=10, short =1.
It will either repeat or for another fault flash a different code.

Looks like I got 3

21 Engine coolant temperature sensor
31 Throttle position sensor
45 Pressure sensor / Pressure exchange solenoid valve

So in the space of 2 hours I have gone from none to 3? Are they connected, dont look like they could be??

You may not have all as some can cause others to appear.
the coolant temp sensor is about £100 and easy to fit, don't know aboput the rest though

if it was me ASAP,i've had the CEL come on before and it is worrying.
Go to a GOOD specilaist near you and get a Select Monitor plugged in reset the ecu to see if they return.

coolant temp sensor gives you a dodgy idle and the fans come on at weird times (as the ecu doesn't know if the coolant is cold or hot).
can't help with the others i'm afraid.

I remember dear old Roger Clark rolling his Escort after hitting a gaterpost in Sutton Park near Brum on one of the first stages of the RAC Rally one year.

When I got home and switched on the TV news that night there was good footage of the accident with me in the foreground with my back to the accident .... running away!

Spoke to a guy at central subaru today and he said he can change the coolant sensor for between £30-£40???

I hope that will sort the other error messages out as well
