Default Oil temp gauge

Is not working. My first instinct is to check the connections, but I don't know where to look. Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks.

I'm assuming this is an aftermarket gauge?

The sender will either be on the top of the engine block just underneath the left hand side of the alternator, or you may have a sandwich plate where your oil filter is.

Had a look, can see two under the alternator on the block that might be the sender, both seem to be on tight so I might have another prob.

Any other ideas that I can check?

Thanks again.

There are various ways to wire them in, if the sender to the left of the alternator on the block just has one wire from it, then it probably isn't wired in there as you have to screw an adaptor into the block to screw the temp sensor in. You must have a sandwich plate (goes between the oil filter & block).

Sorry, nearly forgot, you can also take the oil temp from a bung adaptor which is normally located on piston 3, (one closest one to the turbo)

Average is between 85-95 Deg c when giving it some stick it goes up to 105-110
Altho i have been told 110 is a dangerous temp so i havent let it get above 105 since.
