Think yourself lucky my new carbon fibre spoiler none of the holes lined up.I had to get Mr Drill out managed to lose 2 of the fixing bolts so mine is only held on with 2 bolts at the moment and it is going nowhere solid as a rock but i will fit the remaining bolts tomorrow during daylight

I just used the bolts that came with the spoiler. If they are done up tight then it will go nowhere.I will just add that although my spoiler is solid and not moving anywhere, because i knew there were only 2 bolts holding it on i spent most of my journey home looking at it through my rear view mirror just in case

Does the V6 spoiler not have more holes in the centre though...... i'm 99% sure you're supposed to drill the bootlid......

you are supposed to drill the bootlid for additional securing but many people just choose to use the 4 existing holes for fixing.Only problem is that most of the aftermarket replicas dont line up with the existing holes

I had to drill the bootlid on my old STI2 when I fitted a DR Motorsports STI6 spoiler. It really isn't the end of the world and is easily done in an afternoon with a clear head and patience .
