Cold Idle too high??
I've had my wrx for a couple of months now and it's always had a high idle when cold - 1700-1800rpm for a couple of minutes.
I've never thought anything of it but then again I've never had a car that idles so high when cold.....
Is this normal or does it require some adjustment?
Thanks

not sure on your case, but my car idles at around 1500-1600 from start up. couple gentle taps on the accelerator and it drops to around 1300, and ticks over nicely.
have you checked your idle control valve, or cleaned it recently? if not, try that, held on by two screws, quick squirt with some break/clutch cleaner, and persevere with it cutting out for a little bit while the cleaner works its majic
