advice asap
well i've got an oil leak.
the problem is, it seems to be from the crank seal.
the engine was done not so long ago, but is this another full rebuild or can this be done easy.
i'm hoping this is easy & i dont have to rebuild every thing.
apart from this, theres nothing wrong with the car
avice please

You need to remove the cam belt to access the front crank shaft oil seal changing the seal its self only takes a couple of mins, but the rest will take a few hours.

Errrrmmm.. probably a 7/10.. lol
radiator out for access..
ps belt and alternator and aircon (if fitted) belts off
undo crank pulley and remove
cam covers off..
set engine to timing marks - mark the timing marks on the belt if refitting it!! crank, cams etc
remove cambelt
remove crank sprocket
remove leaking seal (drill two small holes and use self taping screws, either screw in and pull with pliers, or long screws with ends flattened and screw in until they touch the block and whilst you turn it pulls the seal out up the thread)
fit new seal..
fit crank sprocket
fit timing belt (compress tensioner etc)
covers back on
cam pulley back on
etc..
I have some pictures in Jolly Green Monster's Gallery @ Fotopic.Net of the timing belt marks etc see New Engine 2007.

probably hardest bit is getting crank sprocket off imho.. if you look in the front there is two holes whcih if you tap them you can wind bolts in and using a bit of metal over end of crank ease it off.. unless someone knows an easier way?
