left work to day drove about a mile then came up to round about pulled out and had to accelerate fairly hard to get into the lane i needed (got in wrong lane) and car back fired about 6-7 times under acceleration ? what could cause that ? i know the car would not of been warmed up enough but surly that wouldnt cause it ?
but car drove home ( 8 miles) fine

any ideas ?

do you mean the exhaust backfired and popped?Mine does it all the time on lift off,never seemed to cause me any problems

 

no mate it popped/backfired under accelaration (not lifting off the gas) and was Loud .. if it sounded and poped like that on lifting off the gas and over run i would love it lol...
