Default Flywheel pilot bearing ?

Just received my Exedy clutch kit from Api and also their lightened flywheel.

The flywheel has no pilot bearing in it ! How do I fit one of these ?

That will be in the end of the crankshaft(i think) and remain there when the fly wheel is changed. so no need to do anything about it.

Are you sure about that mate ? I can't remember what the old flywheel looks like as I haven't got it here but i'm fairly sure there was a bearing in the middle of it and not on the end of the crankshaft !!

I would have expected the flywheel to already have a bearing in it from Api !!

How do I fit the new one in the flywheel then ? Does it just tap in place ?

It should have had a bearing in the flywheel. I guess in the rush to get it out, with the courier here, looking unhappy, we missed that.

Can I send you one FOC now?? or do you need it for the weekend. I have no way to get it to you for Saturday AM that is guaranteed.

OR, if you want to pop in on here on Saturday morning before 12 and collect one l'll pay for your petrol to show that we care. PLUS, the famous bacon butty too.

Sorry about that. David APi

PS. if you can pick one up locally, send me the bill and l'll pay that instead.

David,Sorry I haven't replied to this earlier, only just got in from work.

If you could send me one that would be great, there is no real rush as I now have other bits to get on with on the car tomorrow.

I'm tempted to pop in tomorrow and collect it just so I can have another of your famous bacon butties !!

If you could PM me tomorrow to let me know that you are going to pop it in the post, just send it to the same address that you sent the clutch/flywheel to.

Thanks for being so helpful
