Default APS CAI kit or Panel filter

APS CAI kit or Panel filter like a Green cotton filter

Which and why?

Not really to bothered about the cost.

Would the APS CAI kit hinder the performance or give it better cold air flow?
Can you still use the MAF on this kit?

Panel filter unless you are pushing over 350BHP
Advantage no need for remap.

the aps is a very nice bit of kit (see my plus profile) but you will need a re-map is using it as the maf sensor needs to be re scaled

I am getting it remaped, so that isn't a problem

Will the MAF get covered in oil like on the other after market "induction kits"?

I'm running an APS CAK.

It fits well and looks good

I had it fitted at the same time as a turbo upgrade and remap, so i can't tell you if i felt any upgrade in power over the green panel filter that i was using.

I went for an APS when going for a stage 2, (over 350bhp). Flows plenty of cold air.

There's two different sizes for a newage, don't know if that's the case for classics.

If you get the APS, you're future-proofing the induction side if you mod it more.

go for the APS if you are getting a remap anyway.

I think i will get 1, there seems to be no down sides by the sound of it.

I was worryed about damaging the maf like what happens with the induction kits.

Will the APS give a nice grunt like the induction kits do?

i went from the apexi induction kit with a heat shield, to a aps one, and on the apexi commander, it shows more air flow.

where are you thinking of buying it from?

So more air flow = better for the engine.

Somebody left a link on here somewhere for 1, they were £140
