Have an 02 wagon with a hybrid td04,pinks,Walpro,FMIC etc.Had a HKS super power flow fitted and then took it for a remap-no problems.
Day after, car lost power whilst accellerating mildly, cut out and wouldnt start.I disconnected the MAF and the car started and i limped home.Presumed that due to stories with this induction kit frying the MAF,this is what my problem would be.So,i have replaced the MAF and induction kit to a cold air K/N typhoon(no space for oe to go back) and the car still wont start(again,if i disconnect the MAF,car will start, but with engine management light on).Heeelp

Sounds like a problem with the map, when your un plugging the ecu its just going into fail safe mode with preset perameters, whereas when you plug in the MAF it is looking to the modified map for its new perameters and seen as how it is not starting in this "normal mode" it sugests there may be problem with the new map. Look for the obvios signs, does it smell of fuel when cranking, are you getting a spark e tc!!!
